Sirens are located at the water tower base on West Main Street and also at Memorial Park on Eugene Street. They are designed to alert those outside their homes a general alert has been issued.
Sirens will be activated when a general alert is issued for West Concord or surrounding areas. Tune your radio or television to the Emergency Alert station for information.
A monthly test is conducted of the City siren on the first Wednesday consisting of the steady signal for no more than one minute.
- An alternative to siren use in an emergency is street-to-street vehicle patrol by the Police Department and/or Fire Department using vehicle loudspeakers.
